Arguably the best all round performing air-cooled soundproof MDC in the world – the EDGE-3 replaces the need for a dedicated server room and only requires less than 1m² of valuable office/floor space, allowing localized on premise computing in populated or more sensitive locations – especially where there might be a concern of server noise being a distraction or breaching EEC working noise guidelines.
Capable of housing full depth high heat load servers the EDGE-3 is easy to deploy and simple to set-up and most importantly, the EDGE-3 incorporates the latest technology for real time environmental and security monitoring. The EDGE 3 effortlessly removes these issues and stylishly blends into the working environment.
The 42U cabinet effectively removes up to 28.5dBA (99.9%) of IT noise, which is tech speak for saying that it will reduce server noise down to a whisper.
Unrivalled Heat Dissipation
Protecting expensive servers and switches or just general IT equipment is of paramount importance and by clever design the unique air extraction system of the EDGE-3 enables the removal of up to a staggering 12kW of heat load in a 42U height cabinet.
By incorporating EC fan technology means an immediate energy reduction compared to standard AC or DC fans.
The EDGE Management System has onboard EC fan control capability, thus enabling the fans to ramp their speed up and down in response to the temperature within the enclosure.
This means that only the necessary amount of power is used maintain the ideal operating temperature.
EDGE 3 Management System
A standard feature of the EDGE–3 is the inclusion of the Edge Management System (EMS). The EMS is the hub of the system, controlling the 2x EC Fans and the environmental status of the cabinet.
EMS is a networkable interface that provides real time environmental monitoring, which can also be viewed via the WebUI.
Meaning you know what’s going on 24/7 and can remotely monitor alerts or alarms relating to any issues with the cabinet.
